Under the direction of the Desert Senita Community
Health Center (DSCHC) Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for
comprehensive health center leadership.
The CEO has authority and responsibility of administering and developing
comprehensive community health center programs.
Regularly reports, advises and makes recommendations to the Board of
Directors regarding center status and policy related to primary functional
areas. Represents the Board and staff with
all elected and appointed officials and governing bodies, funding sources and
donors, community groups, individuals and the press.
Successful candidate must demonstrate and have the
ability to perform the following job functions:

Direct/coordinate
DSCHC staff in planning, developing, and implementing comprehensive community
health services based on available resources and service area needs.

Lead all
organizational strategic planning activities.
·
Effectively
administer DSCHC services; develop appropriate and cost-effective systems to
deliver those services.
·
Oversee health
center administrative and managerial activities including resource allocation
and all reporting.
·
Assume full
fiscal responsibility for DSCHC programs.
·
Secure and
maintain all health center funding.
·
Serve as liaison
with external entities and ensure regulatory compliance with rules/regulations
governing health center.
· Direct human resources management.
· Execute contracts with third party payers and
federal, state and local funding organizations.
· Assure implementation of quality improvement systems.
· Promote excellence in customer service.
· Maintain relationships with Federal, State, and local
officials in matters which concern the delivery of health care services.
· Responsible for DSCHC public relations/marketing
functions.
· Coordinate all Board meetings and Board development.
Other
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in health care administration,
public administration or equivalent.
· Five years experience in health care administration.
· Experience in health care budgeting and financial management.
· Experience writing and administering grants; must
possess strong writing and data analysis skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively with staff,
patients, and the public.
· Community development and needs assessment experience highly
desirable.
